STUDIO 2B on the Go!

Learn how you can go on a STUDIO 2B destination and/or the 2005 Girl Scout National Council Session 50th convention in Atlanta during the ON THE GO workshop

If you want to travel, but finances, or other fears are holding you back… then this is the workshop for you!

During "On the Go!" You will meet sister Girl Scouts, who have recently taken STUDIO 2B destination trips and learn how they were able to finance their trip and have a great time! Your parents and advisors can also come and meet other adults who supported girls as they applied and raised funds to attend their destination.

You will also learn about upcoming travel opportunities and how you can travel too!

When: Saturday, January 22, 9:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Who: All registered Girl Scouts ages 11-17, parents and advisors

Cost: $5.00 per girl, $2,00 per adult

Take Charge for girls ages 11-13

As girls transition into middle school, many want to "fit in" and "be liked." This hands-on, interactive workshop will help girls improve their self confidence. Girls will learn how to set boundaries in various social situations; strategies for dealing with school bullies; practical strategies for keeping themselves safe when hanging out with their friends; and how to recognize other situations where they may be targeted and unaware. A self-defense instructor will teach girls some basic moves to escape abduction and other potentially threatening situations.

When: Saturday, March 26, 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Who: Girls ages 11 – 13

Cost: $10.00 for registered Girl Scouts.

          Includes STUDIO 2B Focus Book, "Take Charge"

         $20.00 for non-Girl Scouts who choose to register now,

         includes the $10 annual GSUSA registration and

         STUDIO 2B Focus Book, "Take Charge"

         $25.00 for non-Girl Scouts choosing not to register now

Take Charge for girls ages 14-17

As girls transition into high school, many seek greater independence and the ability to drive or date. This hands-on, interactive workshop will help girls learn how to keep themselves safe as they develop into young women. Girls will learn how to set boundaries in dating and other social situations; enhance strategies for dealing with peer pressure; remain safe while out with friends and how to recognize other situations where they may be targeted yet unaware. A self-defense instructor will teach girls some basic moves to escape abduction and other potentially threatening situations.

When: Saturday, March 26; 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.

Who: Girls ages 14-17

Cost: $10.00 for registered Girl Scouts.

         Includes STUDIO 2B Focus Book, "Take Charge"

         $20.00 for non-Girl Scouts who choose to register now, includes the $10

         annual GSUSA registration and STUDIO 2B Focus Book, "Take Charge"

         $25.00 for non-Girl Scouts choosing not to register now

Yum! Learn how to use chocolate molds, make chocolate covered pretzels, and other crafts that you will get to eat and/or take home just in time for Valentine’s Day!

When: Saturday, February 5; 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Who: Girls ages 11-17

         (will be divided into age-appropriate groups upon registration)

Cost: $12.00 per registered Girl Scout
